Greywood History

Our cabin journey started with the building of the Trappers Cabin. Along with some friends and family we assembled the cabin over a couple of weekends in March of 1993. We were active in the logging and sawmill industry, producing our own materials for the project. The cabin became a focal point for family activities, birthdays, and other gatherings. The area has progressed over the past 32 years with an additional cabin (Skeeter Lodge), Wash House, Play Area, Camper spaces, Gazebo Area, off grid power, wood fired hot tub, outdoor kitchen and water source.

The cabin area is an 11 acre fenced parcel within 160 acres of trailed northern boreal forest teaming with birds and wildlife. Perfect for hiking, bird and wildlife watching, and connecting with nature. Looking for quiet seclusion? Our nearest neighbor is 1.5 km away.

Our property was homesteaded by my parents in 1975, over the years we have discovered some sites that are interesting to us. Keeping that in mind, we have developed a Homestead Tour that covers a variety of manmade and natural history.
